Typical St. Patrick’s Day celebrations may look a little different this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but there will still be several Irish themed events taking place in Lancaster County.

From cornhole competitions to quiz nights, there’s something for everyone this St. Patrick’s Day.

Here are five events and celebrations in Lancaster County.

Phantom power

The Ogham Stones, one of Lancaster’s best-known Celtic rock bands, will perform live at Phantom Power at 121 W Fredrick St. in Millersville. Dillweed will kick off some Irish tunes and shanties at sea before the Ogham Stones perform. The doors open at 5 p.m.

Live music is played in the outdoor beer garden by Phantom Power, and tickets are $ 10 per table.

The Nacho Depot Food Truck is also available from 5pm to 10pm.

Phantom Power requires masks to be worn whenever you are away from a table. They will also do temperature checks upon arrival.

Thorn Hill vineyards

Thorn Hill Vineyards is located at Fruitville Pike 1945 in Lancaster and is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day beverage special on Wednesday. Guests have the opportunity to spin the wheel of Thorn Hill and win discounts on wine. Specials are available from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The winery is holding its monthly quiz night on Wednesday March 31st. Participants are encouraged to wear their best green clothing.

The quiz night takes place from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. The first and second place winners will win prizes. Everyone is welcome to take part in the quiz fun, be it with a team of friends or alone.

Masks are required anytime you are away from a table.

Bootleg auctions

Bootleg Auctions’ first annual St. Patrick’s Day Party and Cornhole Event will take place on Saturday, March 20th. From 1 p.m., the teams compete in the Bootleg Auctions warehouse for cash prizes. The first, second and third place winners will be honored.

Each team has an entry fee of $ 30. The winning amounts depend on how many people are on the winning team.

If you’re not an avid cornhole player, there is also a party event for ages 21 and up. Entry to the party is $ 10.

Bootleg Auctions is located at 199 Bridge St. in Columbia.

Revere Tavern

The Revere Tavern is located on 3063 Lincoln Highway E in Paradise and is hosting an Irish quiz night on Wednesday.

No teams are required, everyone is welcome to take part in the quiz fun.

During the entire month of March, the Revere Tavern also offers specialty drinks on the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day.

Masks are always required when not seated and there is plenty of room for social distancing.

Meduseld Meadery

Meduseld Meadery is located at 252 Harrisburg Ave in Lancaster and is hosting a night of live music this St. Patrick’s Day. The event takes place on Wednesday from 7 to 11 a.m.

Down by the Glenside provides musical entertainment while guests enjoy Meduseld Meadery’s usual collection of beers, mead and draft beers.
