1/6 Committee member, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) warned 4 subpoenaed Trump associates that if they don’t testify, they will be matter to criminal contempt prices.
Rep. Schiff tweeted:
4 of Donald Trump’s associates have been subpoenaed to testify about January 6.
If they refuse to comply, they can be subject to legal contempt.
What are they hiding? What are they fearful of?
The reality will arrive out. We will make selected of that.
— Adam Schiff (@RepAdamSchiff) October 6, 2021
Rep. Schiff was talking about the subpoenas that had been issued for Mark Meadows, Steve Bannon, Kashyap Patel, and Dan Scavino.
1/6 Committee has produced it distinct. They aren’t messing all-around. Schiff’s statement echoes that of fellow 1/6 Committee member Jamie Raskin who warned Trump and all of his associates that the Committee will pursue criminal contempt prices against anyone who does comply with a subpoena. Raskin explained that subpoenas are not optional and warned of serious effects for these who attempt to overlook them.
It is a diverse entire world now for Trump and his associates. They have no political power, and for people who ended up subpoenaed, Trump has presented them no support or aid.
Trump just can’t overlook this investigation, and he no more time has the system to delegitimize it.
The 1/6 Committee is coming for Trump and his friends, and if they refuse to comply, they might find them selves at the rear of bars.
