Fortune on Tuesday named Alyson Shontell as its new editor in main, the 1st female to hold the job in its 92-year heritage.
Ms. Shontell, 35, joins from the digital media firm Insider, where she was a co-editor in chief of the enterprise portion. She will commence on Oct. 6.
Alan Murray, the main government of Fortune, explained in an email e-newsletter that Ms. Shontell would be in charge of information across Fortune’s journal and web page, as very well as its conferences, newsletters, films, podcasts and the Fortune Link system, an on the internet neighborhood for executives.

Past week, Axios named Sara Kehaulani Goo as its editor in chief and Aja Whitaker-Moore as its government editor.
