Hundreds of demonstrators marched throughout New York City’s Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan on Friday night time, blocking site visitors as they protested Kyle Rittenhouse’s acquittal. 

The marchers began from Brooklyn’s Barclays Centre athletics arena all-around 7 p.m. ET just before shifting across the bridge and into Manhattan.

At one point, the protesters took a knee and held a minute of silence on the bridge in deference to the two men killed by Rittenhouse last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Earlier Friday, a Wisconsin jury agreed with Rittenhouse that the killings have been in self-protection.

But the New York group disagreed with the jury’s decision.

“The concept, in essence, is that when you stand up for Black liberation, when you stand up for Black life, no make any difference who you are, you routinely turn into a concentrate on of the method,” protester Na-Lakan Masego advised WCBS-Tv set in New York of Rittenhouse’s acquittal.

The protest remained peaceful and no arrests have been described. 

In Queens, at minimum 5 persons were being arrested for house hurt. 

“The NYPD can take its accountability to defend the 1st modification legal rights of peaceful demonstrators significantly,” the office wrote on Twitter. “Just as critical is the security of NYers & the safety of residence from individuals breaking the regulation in the name of protest. As found tonight in Queens, they will be arrested.”

The NYPD tweeted pics of a smashed windshield and graffiti on the back of someone’s car or truck that explained: “F— you.”
