A Texas couple was requested to rearrange their baggage at Lubbock Airport previous month because it exceeded the excess weight restrict. But when they opened the suitcase, the pair identified their little pet chihuahua, Icky, tucked inside.
“They set it on the scale and this bag is generally like 5, five and a fifty percent pounds over weight. Genuinely swiftly we are like, oh, we have bought to rearrange some things. Opens it up and literally, there’s our pet coming out of my boot, coming out of my boot with his head bopping up,” Jared Owens, who was traveling to Las Vegas with his wife Kristi on Sept. 26, informed KCBD. “[Icky’s] the burrower, which is what she does. She burrows in dresses, she burrows in, obviously suitcases now.”
Pics confirmed Icky peeping out from inside a cowboy boot inside of the suitcase.
Owens available many thanks to Cathy Cook, the Southwest Airways worker who manufactured the discovery. Cook dinner even presented to watch the pup, he explained.
Thankfully, the couple had family close by who ended up capable to consider Icky property, NBCDFW reported.
Owens mentioned they were grateful to have observed Icky in advance of the flight and have pledged to double-check their bags for the small burrower right before their subsequent vacation.
