Hillary Clinton admitted her debut political thriller with Canadian thriller writer Louise Penny capabilities a pretty familiar character.
During an interview on Monday’s episode of “Late Night time,” host Seth Meyers pointed out that the pair’s new fictional e book, “State of Terror,” consists of a “reckless” former president from Palm Beach, Florida.
“Well, lotta persons reside in Palm Beach,” Clinton deadpanned in response.
“Was he motivated by any individual?” Meyers requested, clearly implying the character was centered on Clinton’s 2016 election rival Donald Trump.
“He is fictional, Seth. He is fictional,” replied Clinton. “However, owning lived by the prior 4 many years, it wasn’t way too challenging to think about.”
The character was “someone who receives the region into a whole lot of trouble,” Clinton discussed. “Some of it of his have making and some of it due to the fact he does not recognize how other undesirable actors are truly using him, so it was not far too tricky for Louise and I to believe about this fictional former president.”
