The Hillsborough Artists Cooperative is pleased to present a group exhibition of new works featuring seven local women artists. “The Collective 2.0” exhibition will run from February 25 to March 20, 2022 with an opening reception on Friday February 25 in the beautiful Skylight Gallery, Hillsborough, NC. beginning at 6 pm.

The seven women artists featured in the show are Marilynn Barr, Lauri Daughtry, Jackie Liggins, Julie Rachlin, Jen Smith, Kristin Smith, and Roberta Wallace. 

This exhibit represents a collective of women artists exploring self as it relates to the body, the universe, cycles of life and the work they do as women.

Each artist uses unique media to explore the theme including ceramics, collage, mixed media paintings, mixed media drawings, oil on canvas,  gouache on wood, and printmaking. 

This collection of stories and images, created by these North Carolina creatives, invites viewers to look more closely, listen more intently, and learn from one another. “The Collective” will run through March 20, 2022.  

The artists will be present at the opening reception on Friday February 25  from 6-9  p.m. The address is 102 W. King Street Hillsborough, NC.  The gallery is located above Antonia’s Restaurant.  

All are welcome to attend. Masks are required. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays (when available) from 12:00-5:00 p.m.
