Firefighters and the law enforcement converged on a plane that traveled from Indianapolis and landed at La Guardia Airport on Saturday afternoon just after a “security incident,” according to a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman.

The airplane landed soon following 3 p.m. and all the travellers safely exited, mentioned the spokesman, Steve Kulm.

The flight, a Republic Airways plane operating as American 4817, declared an emergency and landed “in reaction to passenger habits around the conclusion of the flight,” a Republic spokesman Jon Austin stated.

“Upon exiting the lively runway, the aircraft stopped on a taxiway and executed a precautionary crisis evacuation,” Mr. Austin said. “Our crew responded to the condition in accordance with our processes and with professionalism and a concern for protection of all aboard. Law enforcement and to start with responders achieved the plane and the passenger concerned in the incident has been taken into custody.”

The flight experienced 76 passengers and four crew associates, American Airlines explained. There ended up no injuries described for any travellers or crew users, the airline stated.

The particular person who was taken into custody was not recognized, nor was it crystal clear what behavior experienced drawn focus.

A video clip taken from the tarmac confirmed emergency responders surrounding a male who was on his tummy as travellers stood nearby. In one more video, evacuated travellers are informed to “step back” and give responders and the male house.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Safety and the F.B.I. did not react to e-mail or phone phone calls on Saturday afternoon.

The flight took off from Indianapolis Global Airport close to 1 p.m., according to data from FlightAware.
