Maxine Waters still hasn’t explained bizarre Twitter hacking claim

California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters has still to reveal her weird assert that her Twitter account was hacked and erased.

Waters, the chair of the Property Fiscal Services Committee, lifted eyebrows on Tuesday by boasting her Twitter account was hacked and “erased.”

Waters also claimed she understood who was powering the alleged hack.

“I have been hacked and my Twitter account has been erased. I know who has performed this. I will get care of this,” the congresswoman wrote, signing the tweet, “M Waters.”

Inspite of Waters’ assert, there is no indicator that her account was deleted. Her tale was even more undermined when Twitter released a statement on Wednesday casting doubt on the hacking claim.

“We can not remark on the Tweet, but, as is conventional, we have open up traces of communication with her business and have worked with them to ensure the account is protected. At this time, we have determined no indicators of account compromise,” a Twitter spokesperson mentioned in a statement.

And a few times later, Waters has still to clarify what she intended by the tweet.

Waters’ office environment failed to reply to an electronic mail from Fox News trying to get an update on her hacking assert.
