Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) was roundly condemned by an MSNBC panel Sunday for spreading dangerous conspiracy theories about COVID-19 vaccines and treatments on Fox News.

The Republican senator instructed Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on air Sunday early morning that coronavirus vaccines are “experimental” and that ivermectin, an anti-parasitic drug, is not getting promoted as a COVID-19 treatment method due to the fact there’s “not revenue in it.” Neither of these statements is true.

“What in the full ― What is he speaking about?” MSNBC host Jonathan Capehart requested.

Jennifer Rubin, a conservative political columnist for the Washington Post, characterized his remarks as “complete crap.”

“He by no means applied to be this crazy. He was a businessman and for several years, he operated like a type of fiscal conservative, type of typical Republican,” she explained. But no far more. He has jumped on the Trump train, and allow me be perfectly obvious … he is killing men and women.”

“People hear to them. They are dissuaded from having a lifestyle-saving vaccine. He is contributing to loss of life. He is not pro-lifetime. He’s supporting to destroy people, and he ought to be ashamed,” she additional.

John Bresnahan, co-founder of Punchbowl News and longtime Capitol Hill reporter, famous that Johnson had been been building anti-science and anti-vaccine reviews for months now.

“It is gorgeous to see a U.S. senator, a national political leader, earning these kinds of remarks. We’re a year and a fifty percent into a pandemic that has killed in excess of 720,000 People in america,” he mentioned.

Johnson routinely will make risky and untrue feedback about coronavirus and other subjects, which include the violent Jan. 6 insurrection, which he has frequently downplayed and explained as a mainly “peaceful protest.”
