Naomi Watts went incognito yesterday in New York City!

The actress, 54, was spotted on the streets of the Big Apple as she filmed scenes for season 2 of Ryan Murphy‘s docudrama, Feud.

Watts transformed into her character for the series, donning a voluminous gray wig and ’70s clothing that included brown pants with a long fur-trimmed brown coat. The look was accessorized with matching brown leather gloves and large earrings.

Watts is set to portray Barbara ‘Babe’ Paley–the former Vogue fashion editor who was previously married to CBS founder William S. Paley–in the second installment of the FX miniseries fully titled Feud: Capote’s Women.

The upcoming season will follow the fallout from Truman Capote’s (White Lotus star Tom Hollander) novels, ‘In Cold Blood,’ along with his second unfinished book, ‘Answered Prayers,’ which caused an uproar in society as the tell-all exposed the dark secrets of his closest female friends, whom he called “swans.”

In 1975, one of the chapters, “La Côte Basque, 1965,” appeared in Esquire where it was made clear that the characters were based on his elite friends using different names, including those who had affairs and one who shot her husband.

An adaptation of Laurence Leamer’s bestselling book, the series will begin in the 1970s and will end with the Capote’s death in 1984.

“It’s such an iconic time and very interesting for women in particular. Babe Paley, what an incredible woman. As Truman described her, her only imperfection was that she was so perfect,” Watts said while speaking with Entertainment Weekly last October.

“I’m learning so much about her. I’m thrilled to be working with an incredible cast of wonderful women. It’s such a dynamic group,” she said.

Watts is set to star alongside Demi Moore (Ann Woodward), Chloë Sevigny (C.Z. Guest), Calista Flockhart (Lee Raziwill), Diane Lane (Slim Keith), and Molly Ringwald (Joanne Carson).

No premiere date has been announced.
