Jazz-singer-songwriter Somi will perform at the Five Continents Marseille Jazz Festival in Marseille, southern France, in 2018.

The Repertory Theater of St. Louis has announced its 2021-2022 season. The productions include “Dream done”, a musical about South African singer and activist Miriam Makeba, written and performed by Somi Kakoma; “The Trinity River Plays”, a trilogy by playwright Regina Taylor; and “A Christmas song.”

In a statement, Artistic Director Hana S. Sharif said the Representative “is excited to return to the stage for a new season of live theater featuring the works of exemplary playwrights”.

Sept. 10-Oct. 3: “Dream done.” Loretto Hilton Center for the Performing Arts.

October 1st to October 24th: “The gradient” a satire by Steph Del Rosso. Catherine B. Berges Theater in the COCA.

3rd to 23rd December: “A Christmas Carol” based on the classic Dickens story. Loretto Hilton.

January 21 – February 13: “The 39 Steps”, a farce by Patrick Barlow partly inspired by the Hitchcock film. Loretto Hilton.

February 11th – March 6th: “The Trinity River Plays”. Berges Theater.

March 18 – April 10: “House of Joy”, an adventure romance from Madhuri Shekar. Loretto Hilton.
