The Lewis Library and Technology Center invites residents to celebrate the summer season with the “Excavate Something Big” summer reading program that begins Monday June 7th and continues through July.

The program, which will include many online events, will allow people of all ages to enjoy a dinosaur-themed experience and earn rewards for achieving reading goals.

There will be a variety of fun crafts, informative activities, and performers.

The programs are offered virtually and participants can pick up their program packages from the library and tune in on Facebook to do the project together with the library staff. Program packages are made available while stocks last.

Participants can also register for the Read for Rewards portion of the program through Beanstack at sbclib.beanstack.org. Readers can log in, track the weekly reading and earn digital badges all summer. You can visit the library weekly to collect your earned rewards and (new this year) collect fun buttons every week.

The Lewis Library is located at 8437 Sierra Avenue. For more information, call (909) 574-4500.
