Cafe Scientifique of Aiken will hold its New Year’s Eve ball drop on Friday, Dec. 31, at the Old Aiken Post Office, 307 Lauren St. N.W. The Aiken branch of World Finance will be taking donations to benefit the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare through Dec. 31. Items can be dropped off at the business from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Those attending should bring a mask in case social distancing isn’t possible.
