If there’s one thing that makes celebrities just like us, it’s that they’re often dog lovers, too. Celebrities have a special love for their loyal companions and they sure love showing them off on Instagram.
Here are the latest celebrities and their fur babies that they have adopted during this Covid mess.
While quarantining together in Miami, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have expanded their family. The Senorita singers introduced their new addition, Tarzan, to the world on Mendes’ Instagram. Having now racked up over three million likes, the post features a series of photos and videos of the Golden Retriever puppy
It’s no secret that the Kardashian-Jenner family are big animal lovers, and Kendall Jenner is no exception. The model has three pets: two dogs and a snake that she refers to as “my son”. Despite her busy schedule, Jenner always makes time for her animals and is often seen out with her Doberman Pincher on juice runs and even to lunch with her friends.
Another couple to add a fur baby to their family are Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra; they are now a family of five. The pair announced on Instagram in August 2020 that they adopted the Australian Shepherd Husky mix named Panda. In a “family portrait”, which included their other two dogs, Chopra wrote: “Welcome to the family, Panda! We adopted this little rescue (soon he won’t be so little) just a few weeks ago.”

Channing Tatum announced on Instagram that he adopted a Dutch Shepherd named Rooklin. “He’s gonna be a goon. After I lost my Lulu, I didn’t know when or if I’d be open to having another dog. But he sought me out and we met eyes and then some imprinting happened,” he wrote. This the first pet the Magic Mike star has had since his beloved pooch Lulu died in 2018.
The Friends star has also joined the many celebrities who have adopted dogs during quarantine: she is now a “parent” to new rescue puppy Lord Chesterfield, and he is adorable. Jennifer Aniston sees her dogs as real friends, she told Dogs Monthly: “I have some great human friends, of course, but my dog friends are very special. OK, so they don’t text me or buy me flowers, but they do so much more. They pick me up if I need it, they always greet me when I come home, and they never complain about anything.
Kourtney Kardashian surprised her children with a Golden Retriever puppy in 2019, that they named Cubs. The eldest Kardashian sister had previously shared a video on Instagram of her son Reign asking his Elf on the Shelf doll to tell Santa to get him “a real dog” for Christmas. As well as Cubs, Kardashian’s family also have a Pomeranian called Honey.
Camila Mendes became a dog mum in November 2019 when she introduced fans to her Maltipoo named Truffle. The Riverdale star adopted the dog from an animal rescue organisation. Mendes has been blessing our feeds with Truffle content during the Covid-19 pandemic. In a post that she captioned “my cuddly lil quarantine companion”, the actress urged others to think about fostering a pet during the quarantine period.
Dua Lipa and Anwar Hadid introduced their rescue puppy Dexter in August 2020, just two months after the pair celebrated their one-year anniversary. The New Rules singer shared a series of photos of their new “tiny best friend” snuggling up to the couple. The black puppy was dressed in a blue sherpa jumper for the occasion of his introduction, and has a distinctive white patch of fur on its chest that looks like a number seven.
